My students think about what they already know, ask questions, clarify, and summarize. They use BRAIN FILES to organize post it notes they make from text read. They complete their learning by creating posters to share.

Good reader's use inferences to make meaning and understand text. Students read and explored fairy tales. They created inference riddles. Students also explored inferring with Red Clover books.

This is a collection of student work from a non-fiction unit on the rain forest. students summarized and synthesized text. They learned about life in the different layers of the rain forest. They did their own research on an animal of the rain forest and wrote reports on what they learned.
